Am currently years ago reading your thread build for the 03 Tahoe. Having a quiet laugh at you guys bagging state sizes.
From coat to coast here is about 3hrs. So only takes 3hrs to get from 1 side of my country to the other! [emoji28]

Is good reading mate,am learning a bit about what I should include in my thread. Things like has hid and someone before me led a lot of other lighting. Cheers I'll be done with the reminiscence soon and come back to the future.

Work eventually gets done, but goes beyond promised date. Guy turns out to be a real douche, but it gets done. Fixes the exhaust too. Has to rotate and weld the new y pipe.
First driving impression: HOLY SHIT! This Hoe is a badass!

I had to take it easy, my gf was following me with my work van. I had to pull over 3 times to wait for her! Lol
Took a video of it idling once I got home. This is through the stock muffler.

Motor does have a cam.

This was from my 1st motor, but my most recent one has the same cam specs.

I'm still messing with the suspension. I'm not totally happy with it right now. Bought some front and rear bump stops/jounce stops. Rears we're just old, but the fronts we're pretty mangle/squashed. View attachment 80129Fronts

Still having the issue. This was after cranking it up 1/2". Seems to ride a little better, but shouldn't be squashed like that. Best way to lower the fronts is to use spindles instead of keys. Spindles are on the wish list. View attachment 80130

Have been thinking about dropping the transfer and front diff as I have doubts about doing 3" keys on the torsion and am getting bearing noise out of the transfer when coasting and My bump stops are toast on standard hieght.
Drop spindles will fit my arms? I wont have to replace whole front crossmember/suspension if I decide to delete?

I'd think spindles would work for you, but honestly I'm not familiar with the OBS body style, so I wouldn't want to give you any bad info.

Nope. I looked, just says made in China, rim size, weight load etc. Usual stuff, but no manufacturer.

Thanks for the heads up on the spindles. Looking at your pics they are 4wd. What I've seen over here seem to be s10. You guys have so much on tap at home! Very lucky. Will do the best with what I have around me and not spend $1,000,000 on shipping to go where I want with this.
I hope to read through the rest of may 2017 in the coming weeks. May 23 was a chatty day for you. Lol [emoji16]
