Is it AWD? That will help with wheelspin versus the FWD version. I had an 07 then 08 Saturn Relay, loved them. Why two? You remember that washer fluid heater recall...

Oh yeah, she has been working up the sales pitch.
I'm hearing nothing but reasons why, one of them is for the snow.
AWD vs her Saturn aura's front wheel drive.

That car has the 3.5, and it's a fantastic engine.
Has something like 280k on it now, and it's still running and shifting great...

What i would like is for her to wait for it to start having some actual problems.
but she want's luxury, the tahoe ruined non luxury for both of us i'm afraid.

ARB makes a kit with a 20 ft hose and all the attachments (the T that comes off of the compressor in the photo above is part of it) for airing up everything from tires to basketballs for $50. I ordered it along with the compressor. 20 feet will get to the truck's tires; I'll carry an additional hose I have in the shop that will extend the reach so I can inflate the trailer's tires if I ever have to do so while it's hitched to the truck.

And I don't see any reason why you couldn't plumb a T into the line from the air ride compressor. You'd probably want to run the line from that fitting out to the rear bumper and make your hose attachment point there. I wouldn't want to have to crawl under the truck to reach the fitting with the hose while sitting in mud. Only other issue I see is remotely overriding and controlling power to the compressor while you're using it to inflate something other than the suspension's air bags. I assume 80 lbs is enough pressure in that system to inflate a tire - there's not much volume so that helps.

Technically it doesn't "hold" any air as there is no tank.

However the air compressor is capable of producing up to 200psi.

With the 1/8" lines, however, it would take a very very long time to inflate a flat tire or even a low tire, plus you would need to hook a switch to the compressor relay to turn it on and also have a way to divert the air from the shocks to the hose you would be using so as not to over inflate your shocks in the process.

The ESCM is programmed to not run longer than 255 seconds (4 minutes 15 secs) to keep from overheating the pump, although with a manual switch it wouldn't shut off, but it would be bad for the compressor.

With all of that being said, the auto leveling compressor for the Trail Blazer SS/Envoy uses 5/32" lines and it has a switch for turning it on manually and a hose for inflating things. The switch and hose was mounted in a cubby hole in the rear of those rigs.

You probably won’t get enough volume from it to inflate tires.

Years ago she talked me into a landrover Freelander.
I hit my head every single time i got in it.
We lost our ass on that one, bmw decided to glue in the cylinders and the glue breaks down in the coolant apparently.

Got the Saturn right after, i made damn sure we got our money out of it.
Nearly 300k miles worth.


I still have to go test the sizing before i stamp my ok on it.
I did tell her we have to wait till late spring or early summer since i hate working on crap during the winter (inspections etc).

The smaller one is the Buick version of the equinox. You’re gonna feel cramped after the Tahoe.

High pressure, but low volume output. It's not designed to be ran for very long. If it survived running long enough to inflate a tire, it'd probably only do it once. ALC compressors are about $200- you're much better off buying one better suited for inflating tires for that amount or less.

It came on the emblem but yes it looks like standard molding tape. I will definitely look into the emblem tape, thanks!!

I have the same one, i got some nuts for the threaded inserts on the back and sucked it in a bit.
It's a nice look, black looks awesome with the color of my hoe.

I will NOT put droppings of any kind into my mouth. I'm not Dutch.



It's the butterfly from the unmuffled side of my cutout. It worked loose during my trip to Florida for Thanksgiving. I thought it had completely fallen out long ago. But, no, it has been hanging out and rattling somewhere in the system until this evening. As I suspected months ago, failed welds are to blame. I really don't wanna cut it out, fix it, then weld it back in because it's kind of a POS. I'll likely do like I've been wanting to do and route the unmuffled circuit back into the pipe that exits the rear so at least the sound isn't reverberating under the floor pan. If that's still too loud, then I'll plug off the unmuffled half until I find a better, permanent solution. This will likely be me making my own cutout.

So I have been driving around getting the 200 miles relearn done on the transmission, that only took a week and it still didn't seem right so I went by the shop and he said well maybe it's not done relearning he said to drive it for another week and see what it does today made it 400+ miles and so I took it by the shop something is wrong with the 3-4 shift. He thinks it is either the tecm or a piston in the drum, so it goes back Monday.
