2011 Yukon DIC display is dim

The light sensor is working; it changes to very dim and DRL become headlights when light is low.
In normal daytime driving, the DIC (under the tach) display is just dim; can't read it with sunglasses on.
If it means a whole new dash, I'll just live with it.

Any thoughts?

Have you made sure your dash dimmer knob isn’t turned down?

As said above, check the dash lighting dimmer knob, it controls the DIC brightness also

Yep, the dimmer knob works- in night time mode. Does nothing in daylight mode except turn on dome light at full clockwise.
Should it be working on daylight mode?

It should. I know a while back I as well as others posted/complained about when it was adjusted bright enough in the daytime it made it too bright at night.
