Welp, i was hoping to take the old hoe out to my property this weekend.
I have a new to me 103 year old Luger to try out...

Raining now, probably be snow tomorrow.
Even if it fails to stick, i'll get Mud and or ice.

Canceled!

Guess i get to see if my roof rack is leaking in the back, so yay? :)

Moved it so my neighbor could reclaim his welder/generator unit. We had a decent rain last night, so I had a little bit of water near the back hatch again. I think I found the source this time- the large boot just to the right of center. I'll probably just smear some black light-duty silicone under it.

I think mine might be the same thing, leak started after i was messing around with the rear camera.
Just happened to notice a stain on the headliner that i had not seen before...

I checked the boot yesterday, make sure it was fully seated and no corners rolled...

I had a leak in thecopcar when I got it. Turned out to be the boot for the hatch wiring. I applied a strip of coax cable seal above it and had no issues since.

i went out there with a little strip of gorilla tape and stuck it right above that boot/seal.
now it has a little gutter thingy.

I have a single stain on the head liner now, hopefully it does not get any larger...

Word. I saw the faint water line on my headliner about a month ago and popped off the trim at the top but couldn't pin the source. It hasn't rained enough to leak any more until last night. I'm satisfied that I believe I've tracked it down, and it's nothing major and easily repairable. Probably just aged rubber. If I hadn't popped that boot out to run the wires for those auxiliary lights, it might still be watertight.

Yup. I believe I caused this. I did the same- pressed to make sure it was fully seated, etc. They may have an adhesive in them when they're first installed. I know it was a pain to pop out but went in more easily. That difficulty removing it clearly wasn't from a tight fit. It was either stuck from being there, undisturbed, for so long or it has a light adhesive.

Mine is very faint. I'm not even gonna bother trying to clean it since I plan to dye my headliner and plastics.

Ya he showed me a stock one and then one that has the weld added, the stock weld is pretty thin he said they come apart right there and the weld fixes that

Do you have any pics of this? I'm just curious, because I know once I get my new motor installed, my 6L80 may get pissy, she has 160k. I have been planning on a rebuild of my 6L80 and any info you have that your builder did I'm curious of. One of the upgrades I read for a 6L80 is the installation of the 6L90 input carrier. The 6L80 has 4 pinion planetary... The 6L90 has 6

Installed a Dynomax Ultra-Flo Catback. Been watching this thing off and on for a few years on Rockauto and it is always out of stock. Just happened to need to replace a muffler that rusted out and snagged it for $312 shipped. Fits like a glove, installed in the driveway with the rear up on jack stands.

Sounds great, not very loud but really good deep tone and minimal noise inside.
