Tuning, what can it do for shift points?

I've been considering a tuner for a bit now, and black bear seems to get the most thumbs up. I dont really care about power so much as I care about shifting. My transmission has been rebuilt, and seems to work fine - however I have some odd shifting occurring and I feel like its electronic/computer related. I understand there is a baseline on the black bear tune setup, would this be something that could be adjusted and corrected with a tuner?

A few of the oddities I find on a regular basis:

* Odd 2-3 shifting at low revs. Goes 1>2>3>2(immediately)>3
* Hard shifting 3-4 some times while towing or at high revs.

Give @BlackBearPerf a call and discuss your needs. The modifications to the transmission shift points, as part of the BB tune, are as significant, if not more, than the modifications to the motor performance, as part of the BB tune.

Make sure the trans is in top, error free form before having it tuned. My eyes hurt too much to spend much more time on the computer today but you would be well advised is someone told you to look in the service manual for those conditions and see what the culprits could be Derick.

We would be happy to help with a tune. The shifting and throttle response are the big improvements with the tuning. We can tune your vehicle via our AutoCal it will allow us to see your vehicle data before we tune, and provide the tunes via email. Also James is correct make sure everything is working before having it tuned.
