On a recent hunting trip, I found the shortfalls to stock location 6000k lighting when going through sweeping turns or around corners on and off road. The illumination where they are aimed is fine, just not wide enough. The primary use would be off road at relatively low speed. The options I'm considering are fogs in the stock locations (I have none) or a light bar or spot lights behind the grill.

I like the idea of something in the stock fog location because I could use them on road as well, but I'm not sure it would be high enough or wide enough to, for example: see roadside hazards such as wildlife, etc.

I know a light bar or a couple of cubes behind the grill would be a superior overall option, but would prefer something stealthier or better looking than a single light bar.

I guess both options are on the table as well. I've read some of the lighting threads on this and other sites, I'm but hoping to gather more info before making my decision.

If you've done a fog upgrade, are you happy with the beam width? Has anyone tastefully added cubes behind the grill? Any comments or pics are welcome.

Only shop I’ve seen that seemed willing to put a custom mount out for 15+ Body style.

I put bright yellow LEDs in the stock fog housings and they shoot pretty wide and reasonably far but small adjustable windshield pods would be idea for the winding roads.

I have a daily drive like that and it's dark, snowy/icy this time of year and will be updating. Looking at small single row curved bars to flood out ahead toward the ditch. Might tuck them off the front of the luggage rack

Thanks for the resonse.
So an improvement, but it sounds like you are still wanting some more side visibility.... I'm still kicking around the idea of fogs, but for the most part solved my problems with adding lights behind the grill. See "stealth off road LED install" in this forum section.

I mounted 4 rigid industries lights in the factory fog housing location. 2 LED fog lights and 2 flood beam patterns. Significantly improved cornering lighting and overall lighting as a whole. BBF8DA2A-4D31-4E32-ABC7-B550E5BF98DD.jpegCE050E73-3978-4C8E-8B17-934B9C0B8A14.jpeg

Tahoe RX, we are patiently awaiting night pics as reference. i am leaning towards the morimoto replacement fog housings, but really like your look. and the fact that i can aim one set of lights, with tinted windows, some corners are rather dark.
