Hi everyone and happy new year.
I really need help fast.
I'm disabled And rely heavily On my truck.
My DRLs and FOG LIGHTS are connected to my stock fog light switch/button. (My choice)
The left side DRLs/FOG went out. They are off.
Is this a fuse issue or something else?
PLEASE HELP.

Pics of the truck, please.

I would definitely check the fuses first. Start with the fuse box that is in the engine bay, and the inside cover should have a diagram identifying the individual fuses.

In the under hood fuse relay box there are relays and fuses that are related. You can swap other relays, that are the same, to see if that helps.

they should not be connected together unless you had it modified to be that way.
either way the most common problem (if not a fuse or wiring) is the DRL bulb socket gets burnt from the bulb being on constantly (DRL bulb sockets can be replaced)
then if it is a factory fog light housing those typically develop a bad seal and become filled with blinker fluid (water) and which in turn burns out the bulb.
and in Either case the fix is to (R&R) remove and replace.
if the DRL socket is not too burnt then it can be cleaned with a small piece of sandpaper and a screwdriver to refresh the metal to metal contact

I had to replace the DRL bulb and socket on my 2005 Tahoe.

^^ This right here is most likely. It could be that the modification made for them to be joined went bad, but there are other simpler causes.

Yes a former friend and I set it up this way because I wanted it.
The fog light bulb looks fine.
Ive never really messed with wiring. How do I track down an issue?

Please be patient with me.
I get super frustrated with things I don't understand and I have to ask a lot of questions to clraify because I have a weird learning disorder. I'm not stoopid, just, have trouble with things that, Ive never done before or have trouble with

well even though the bulb looks fine, I would swap the bulbs around and verify if the bulbs are good or not. That is a very easy way to determine if it is in fact the bulb or not.

Welcome from S Florida !!
I understand.. being patient….. I am blessed with being ambidextrous…. Very ‘handy’……. But I manage my thoughts because both sides of my brain is ‘in gear’ all the time….
So, check your lights in the simplest way first….. bulbs & then harness contact to the lamp housing ( wiggle it ) then fuses….. then go from there.

I'm with @Doubeleive to first swap bulbs to see if it's something as simple as that. I see that both the fog and DRLs are not working on the driver's side, so it could be a wiring issue or something to do with the modification.

Do your DRLs (only) come on in the daylight, or was defeating that function part of the modification? If not part of the mod, do they both come on in daylight?

It would help to know what specific modification was used to change the circuits to force the DRLs on when the fog light button is switched. Details on that mod? Can you ask your former friend, or would that be a problem? Otherwise we probably won't have a clue about how the mod was effected (made to happen).

You may need to have a shop that does electrical work look at it, especially if you "suck at electronics..."

Lastly, consider populating a "signature" in your account section, with your year, make, model, etc. so it always shows up in your posts. That would save some confusion about what you're working on.

Wherever the modification was made that moved DRL to the fog light circuit has most likely failed since losing both bulbs at once is not likely

Anytime you scab the wiring together, always look there first when troubleshooting

The fog light circuit has only one fuse so if you're using that for the power your fuse is good as evidenced by one side still working, that leaves a failed splice, bad bulbs or a bad ground

Yea, how many times has someone scabbed a trailer lighting pigtail in to the rear vehicle wiring and then wondered why the lights started having problems?
