Ya there was a lot of water in there but I had just pressure washed it a couple days ago, just wondering if it takes any special kind of silicone because of the heat or not
I would use some high temp RTV myself.

I used the super black RTV a few years ago. When I checked earlier this year it still looked new so if you have black on hand id use it.
that's what I just bought at autozone, hopefully I won't be doing this twice

Check the torque on those valley cover bolts while yer at it brah. Wouldn't even hurt to replace that gasket and the oil pressure sensor while you are that deep into it. Good job getting that bolt out ya lucky sumbish LOL.

X2 on the Permatex Ultra Black. I've never done the dam thing. I just smear a decent layer on the underside of the circular flaps before snapping down the knock sensor harness.
Also, X2 on replacing the valley cover gasket while you're right there. Maybe even the oil pressure sensor and/or cam position sensor, or at least the gasket on the cam position sensor.

I thought you're supposed to make an incomplete circle with an opening at the rear about 1/2" larger diameter than the sensor.
Well I already put it all the way around couple hours ago
Looks like a m6 x 1.0 x 70 will work, grabbed a 80 also just in case $5 at the hardware store
What's the valley cover supposed to be torque to
I think this guy has it in this vid. He has a bad ass torque wrench. Check around the 21 min mark. I don't have sound a work.

Thanks the bolts were all good at 18lbs, the m6 x 1.0 x 70 fit perfect, she fired right up and no immediate codes drove it a couple miles, seems ok, time will tell
