AC accumulator

I'm trying to order the correct replacement for my new to me 1997 GMC Yukon four door, no rear AC. Amazon sent the wrong part and the Acdelco part 15-1739 amazon sells sais it won't fit. Can anyone tell me the correct part number to order? Thanks

I do not have rear AC in this Yukon. I have an orifice tube. Would I have the thermostatic expansion valve as well? The Acdelco part listed talks about a TEV.

Both the thermo expansion valve listings by AC Delco had to do with you having a rear a/c unit which you said you did not.

Last eighth digit of VIN are VJ746423. I went to an auto parts store and the item they ordered is just like the one I got from Spectra. Still the wrong part. The parts guy is telling me it's a cartridge and i need to open my canister and install it. My canister is an aluminum welded item. Not sure he's right.

You would use the Delco 15-1739 (see 96’s and PNW’s response a few posts up.)

I've tried getting that Acdelco and they told me it's discontinued. Wish we had a Rock Auto up here in Canada. I will try and get one off of ebay. Thanks for all the help.

Have you installed it? Did you have to add oil or just install, vacuum and recharge?
