Bought me a Christmas present/ start of a new project. Going to do a LTZ dash swap into my LT Silverado so the Escalade cluster will look right. Now I get to wrap more pieces.

I really want to swap my wood grain trim out for the silver bits. Just haven’t had enough of a give a damn to start looking around in the parts yards. Silver will go nice with the dark plastic and tan seats

I love ya man!!! :console:

Look at this Xmas eve project.o_O:confused:

Red necks use duct tape, sophisticated red necks like myself use nylon ties. Door handle linkage is fixed! :anitoof:

Lol, love you too brother! I actually thought it was funny. Had to make a funny lol. Funny with the zip tie. Fixed my work van door the same way! Guess I'm a sophisticated red neck deep down.

I started converting them but ran out of patience lol. I’m suffering from small part wrap syndrome. ***** a PIA. It will eventually match the other stuff I wrapped. I did the big wood grain part twice tonight and didn’t like either application so I ripped it off. Twice. The area around those cutouts is done but it about killed my patience I think.

Emptied my catch can. Haven’t drained it since I changed the oil 3,000 miles ago (10-19-2019). It OVERLFLOWED this container! I am blown away how much water is getting into the motor!

Okay that was on 11/20. Today I went to refill the washer fluid to stop the Master Caution warning message in the cockpit. I noticed that the “sight glass” in my catch can (16oz?) was past the halfway mark. I put this coffee can under it and was shocked to see crystal clear water flowing out and then an emulsion at the end (the oil floats to the top...). Holy moly this is crazy!

So basically I’m getting like 8-10oz of water being “caught” every month/3,000 miles. Where does this water go if I didn’t have the catch can??? Is the catch can system trapping the water from venting into atmosphere? (Am I better without it?)
