ya, wasn't really in the playbook but it is what it is at the moment don't have the money to lift it yet anyway so i'm going to roll with it for now

Not necessarily a bad thing... just seems like kind of a waste of money on the previous owners part to pay extra for an "off road" package just to turn around and lower it... lol

Good looking truck though.

But I thought the PO lowered it...
that's what I was told but this all new territory for me I didn't know if these were oem for z71 or not, heard the air today when my kid was messing around up front in the passenger seat but he doesn't know what he touched I can't find the switch yet, trying to juggle life and work and kids and the truck, lol not enough daylight
alarm goes in Saturday then I will feel more comfortable, seen some sketchy people in the neighborhood today haha

even though this truck has factory HID's there only 25w, so I ordered a 45w 5500k kit which should improve the light output quit a bit, Morimoto makes a d5s bulb for the truck but damm pricey, this kit has more bang for the buck

I got under it and managed to put some big zip ties on the parking brake cable under the bag brackets so hopefully that will hold the cable off of the bags

Putting my valentine one and blend mount in I discovered the power harness from the 03 was fried so making up a new one at least the power leads were easy to find on the mirror

IMG_20191016_123305.jpg

***scratch that being easy part, PITA, mirror harness only puts out 10v or 8v the valentine one freaks out on 10v it likes 12v, had to pull the panel off the roof that holds the homelink control boy that baby was on virgin tight, found switched 12 volts at the passenger airbag on/off panel center black wire is Negative, 2nd purple wire is 12v switched with ignition (or the other way around), whewww only took 2 hours to figure all that out

Got the spare keys in and got them cut, since 2017 they upped the security so you have to have 2 working keys to do a quick relearn I only have one, so it's either screw around for 1/2 an hour and hope it works or the dealer said they would do it tomorrow for $39.00 so I think I will take option 2 lol

good thing I had the dealer program the keys 1 of the ones I bought was bad, saved me a headache, so now atleast I have 2 and can do the quick relearn from home and the other spare can be used to unlock the door if I manage to lock the keys inside.
