Where'd you bring the wires through and tie them in?
passenger side I ran up towards the battery and then across the firewall, drivers side up to the front by the master cylinder, I already have a wire patched into the drivers foot kick panel going thru the firewall so I just patched them all together on the drivers side of the master cylinder. I bought those led's months ago I figured I better hook them up before it starts getting to cold to want to do anything. There built on aluminum strips and sealed in acrylic I think, might be glass, weatherproof

Cranked up the Rough Country Keys all the way and installed a set of Vision Nemesis 17x9 ET-12 on BFG 285/70/17's. Have some trimming to do due to minor rubbing as well as new shocks since it rides like ass with the keys turned up on stock shocks

I contacted a guy at the Silverado Forum that sells caliper mounting adapters to mount C6 ZO6 brakes onto a GMT800/GMT900 knuckle- would anybody like me to give you his email? Whole upgrade is like 1700ish but the key to being able to do it is these brackets. He says end of October early November is when this next batch should be ready for sale.
How much are the brackets themselves? I might be able to afford this upgrade if I can accumulate it a piece or two at a time, lol. Keep us posted on your progress. I've yet to see in one single place a complete parts list and build log.

EDIT: found this:

It didn't work out well for the OP. Had to grind the spindles, had clearance issues with his wheels, etc. He gave up on it.

I haven’t asked yet. I think it will depend on how much this batch costs. I’m gonna email him again today. OP in that thread had aftermarket spindles and wheels. These brackets are way more precisely built than any others that have been done because Rudy- the guy who has them made hates shims. Will let you know. I’m coming up on needing new brakes on mine. Front rotors are down to minimum thickness.

Drop spindles are relevant, as many on here have them. I intend to use them, as well. Looking forward to your experience.

Shims are a necessity on big brake kits. Even companies like Wildwood and Brembo use them because of the differences from one vehicle to another.

This is very true! The people on the silverado platform seemed to not need them most of the time. I will have some on hand just in case, but hopefully not need them.

It is my understanding that NNBS brakes bolt onto the NBS correct?

Are you trying to put the 3/4 ton brakes on a 1/2 ton?
Not exactly, but a biproduct will be an attempt at that. I’m actually wanting to install nnbs 2500hd brakes on my k5 blazer (with d60 and 14b axles). Since I’d have the parts I’d love to attempt them on my Tahoe if possible. Should be much easier on my Dana 60 as the rotors between the generations for 8 lug are incredibly close. Unsure on to a 1/2 ton if it would be better to redrill 8 lug or attempt to source a different rotor completely.

I can’t remember if the 8 lug patterns changed at some point. I think i remember my autos teacher from HS saying something about it changing but never looked farther into it.

My d60 rotor is barely different size and thickness wise from my (now old) 07 Sierra 2500hd. Unsure on hub diameter but I’ll be using the HD calipers with the d60 rotors.

Changed rear brake pads and rotors. Autozone had a deal buy 2 rotors and pads and they discount it. Got the 59 dollar ceramics with hardware kit and these rotors with high carbon deal at 101 each for total of 179 after the discount and taxes. No more brake grindage. And also my warped brakes were the rears. The fronts are new from when I bought the Tahoe 3 months ago. Smooth as can be.

Also sprayed the rear bushings with lithium grease. Made my rear end squeaks over some moderate bumps go away.

Oh and I’m about half a tank in with e85, definitely see the mpg drop. I don’t know if it’s a placebo effect but the few times I had to floor it, it felt like I had more power.

Noticed that it will yell at you if you keep your turn signal on!

Coming home from work today I turned left onto a road that is more like 145* at the intersection (not enough of a turn to automatically shut off the turn signal) and about 1/4-1/2 mile later heard the dash dinging and looked down at the DIC and it said something like "Turn signal still activated" or something like that.

First time that's happened and I did not know it did that
