VinCheck website can take a plate and turn it into a VIN for potential buyers. I think its similar to carfax. Doesnt give you registration info or vehicle history unless you pay.

Maybe for a fee the DMV will send a letter thru USPS. I really can't say for sure, but I know there is a way to make contact thru DMV for stuff like that.that's kinda scary, stalker heaven
Yeah. Only reason you dont want them or the plates on the internet is because of the trolls that think its funny to SWAT peopleYou can walk through any parking lot and get someone's VIN and plate number in seconds. They are all on public display.
