I ordered the brackets from the GMFS forum member not just to save a few bucks but more to buy from a small private guy. I also just ordered Morimoto mini H1 projectors, the Hylux 45 watt ballasts, Morimoto 5500k bulbs and Morimoto bulb holders from Lightwerkz because they gave me a better price, free shipping plus 15% off as a new customer. Total was about $275 for everything. I guess I’m in lol.

Nice you did exactly what I did but I got the brackets from CB&D.

Heads up the motoholders I wasnt a fan of. I'm using the metal clips that came with the projectors. I couldnt get the bulbs to sit right with the holders

Because the adapter plates available are for mini H1’s. They’re for the OEM Denali headlights and don’t require baking open the headlights, just bolt them on in place of the existing projectors. I sent a pic of the back of the Anzo’s to a guy who sells the brackets and he says they will work, they use the same projectors as the Denali’s.

That and the mini d2s are too big for the stock housings without modifications.

I'm still thinking about it. I wanna contact CB&D and see if they can make a bracket for the mini d2s and I'll just d some cutting

I used the motoholders on my Silverado retrofits, I liked them.

No, the tails I have are probably the only aftermarket ones I like. No need to mess with a good thing. I’m not a fan of the Esky style either.

Esky style ? Those the pillar ones? I didn’t know they made them for our trucks

No, the NBS ones, G3 or G5 or whatever they’re called. Same for the 3rd brake light, I think they’re hideous.
I thought the G tails were for nnbs . Now I’m curious about these hideous tails . Doesn’t really matter , you’re just as picky as me and I doubt I’ll like them anyway lol.

Who knows maybe I didnt use them right. But for some reason I couldnt get the bulbs to sit right in the projector

Weird. I just installed them, no problem. I just took off the metal brackets, screwed the back of the holder on, inserted the bulb then the puck, and screwed the nut thing down. Everything is keyed so it only goes on one way.

With the metal clip there’s no seal . That has me worried . Or is it no issue ?

I think it’s ridiculous you have to order those separately. If they work so much better why doesn't TRS add them to the kit? Idk I’m just complaining, plus every time I ordered something they added shipping to each item and that was annoying. So I didn’t get the holders at the time. I’ll get them on payday, I don’t like how the metal clip aligns the bulb. Then all I have to do is seal them up and install them. I just hope they fit behind the bracket, super tight back there (that’s what.....said)

Theres a seal.

@Rocket Man what I meant was I couldnt get them to seat correctly. Yes they fit however it was hard to get the bulb aligned. Check this thread out.

The motoholder made it difficult for me to move the bulb around so that I'd get the proper hot spot.

If you move the bulb in the motoholders there is a slight amount of movement. Thst will throw the hotspot off, which in turn throws the cutoff out of alignment

My cutoffs were perfect. I’m pretty sure with the Morimoto mini H1’s they will be fine this time around too.
