Does anyone have a probe thermometer and can check the ac temperature coming out of the vent when cranked down to 60, im trying to see if need a ac service or if I'm crazy but seems like it should be about 34/35 in the vent slot mine will only go down to 46

lol, maybe you need a recharge too, the temps here are only hitting the high 80's so far and It just seems like it is not working as well as it did last summer when it was much hotter, I checked my silverado and it goes down to 36 and I just turned it on for a few minutes the yukon had been going for a while already

Wut year is the silverado? Do it have the 12 or 134?lol, maybe you need a recharge too, the temps here are only hitting the high 80's so far and It just seems like it is not working as well as it did last summer when it was much hotter, I checked my silverado and it goes down to 36 and I just turned it on for a few minutes the yukon had been going for a while already
ya I know a shop that has a machine that takes out everything and puts it back in by computer, they did the silverado for me and it kicks buttHonestly this is not a good way to measure the performance of ur A/C. To many variables for anyone giving you there trucks performance. A good way to gauge is if the temps coming out is at least 20 degrees below ambient temps.
If you need it charged find a good mechanic that uses gauges and temp to ensure correct pressures

03, I don't know which it has I would imagine the 134, shop did that one for me 2 years ago at leastWut year is the silverado? Do it have the 12 or 134?
Ok , im out03, I don't know which it has I would imagine the 134, shop did that one for me 2 years ago at least
maybe, this thing has not been done since i've had it 2yrs and it's 7 years old, I have read that they can leak out over a long period of time, maybe a wider survey of temps from the nnbs will give a better idea ?If you need it charged, you have a leak.
I just checked it says 134Ok , im out
I have one of those refill can gauges but the connector is too smallIf you need it charged, you have a leak.

no I don't service the AC system unless it is not performing as expected, everything else yes, I would take it to the dealer to have them do it on there machine or this other shop that has a good machine as well I only have the refill can because my sisters car leaked and she had me just refill it for her on the cheap she didn't want too put the money into getting it fixed. I was just trying to get a idea of what other peoples temps were because it just doesn't seem to be up to par this seasonIf it's one of those DIY rigs, DO NOT use the ones that have any sort of leak sealer additives! Straight refrigerant only.
It is possible to lose refrigerant over a long time which would be such a small leak that you'd never find it. You just top it off as needed. I read your previous post as this is something you do every season. I'm sure you know better, but some people think it works like a fuel tank and you just keep refilling it when it runs out.
