The fitment is the issue. A lot of aftermarket panels are very iffy. Choosing a reputable company like Keystone is the best way to hedge your bet.

Those of you who have performed this mod... What do you do with your spared hood?

Pretty positive the one I got is aftermarket. Drove to Houston to get it, but it was in primer and the gaps are slightly bigger than the factory hood, but anywhere further than 5 feet and you can't tell

Those of you who have performed this mod... What do you do with your spared hood?

Your best two options are to either hang it by a chain, with an extra piston, and use it like a dinner bell. Otherwise keep it next to your chair and it makes a great tray table.

I know its an old thread lol...but seriously considering this since I can get a aftermarket CAPA certified HD hood new for $ 200 bucks
