I’ve done exactly what you described with turning off traction control and stabilitrak (after holding down the button for 5 seconds to turn off both), mashed the gas and no power is cut. It’ll spin to my hearts content with no power lossits very simple to check, if you on ice or very slippery ground, just floor your gas pedal with traction and stability track off just with the button on the, you will see that ECU will still cut the power, take your ABS fuse out and wheels will keep spinning at full speed, you control the power not ECU
but it’s cool. I don’t want to muddy up your thread. I was just curious why cut ABS. You answered with your reason.
Little mod I thought would share with you guys. First of all I heat wires hanging on my dash so never used the 12 v outlets on the lower portion of middle console. Decided to put two push button switch instead, one to disable ABS brakes second to turn off my A pillar gauges.

And here is the spec for push button.

I did something similar. I installed a 3 way switch to control my front and rear cameras while on the move.
Also installed the stock USB port as well.

I had to grind a little bit out of the inside of the cover to get it to close properly. I could have done a little better job smoothing it out but I never see it when closed.

When you close the cover it automatically turns the switch off.
Wish I knew how to use relays, and how --and why--to wire them up, I mean I have a very general idea.Since ABS is a 25A circuit and my switch is rated at 5A it is necessary to add relay, View attachment 217130
This relay harnest its not necessary it all depends on type of connectors you choose to use

I'm gonna need a relay for my train horn.I will try to explain how to wire one, its not hard at all when you know what each post does, pretty much need one for any high current circuit, think of a relay as a heavy duty switch that is controlled by a pretty switch (lighter duty) inside your truck.

Powered by a compressor. They're Kleinn air horns.what are they power by? compressor? whats the Amp on it?

I got it used, so no spec sheet on it. https://kleinn.com/product/model-6120-all-in-one-air-system-clearance/do you have a spec sheet? also do you have ignition acc wire inside your truck?
This is exactly why I drive year round with the fuse pulled... No need for it at any time. Even on dry roads, with as much power as I make, traction is an issue. I'd add a switch like you but I don't ever want the electronics on, they suck!@67RS427 @bottomline2000 @07Burb
ok so I will try to make this as painless as possible, some of you get this but most people think if you hold the traction control button for 5 seconds it will disable your traction control and stability track, which it does do it 100%!!!, for some strange reason GM decided that we can't drive and with both systems off ABS will take over and cut the power to the engine!!! Trust me on that I have tested will attach pictures when I buried my truck to the frame! and was not able to get out until I pulled ABS fuse out!

Hope the pictures helps. I have really tried to make worst scenario. It was accomplished by putting the truck in 2 WD and Auto with ABS fuse still in. When it sat on its frame wheels didn't spin at all!! After pulling ABS fuse out and flooring gas pedal truck jump out from the hole. Sorry I did not take any pictures of that, but I slammed my head to headliner so hard that just forgot about it. This being said this stock trucks are capable of more than you guys think they are, just need a little help. For people that want to push them bit more I will post how to disable traction and stabilitrak off 100% in the next post.
