I bought about 12' of 3" tubing and some tight and loose 45 and 15 degree bends as well as a donut. If I need anything tighter, I'll make some pie cuts.
Mine is going to 3" though.

Those of you building your own systems- do you know which bends to get? I want to try a 4 inch system and am thinking a 90, two 45s and a 30 or 15 plus 4 feet or so of straight.

I believe you should do some more reading. I think 4" pipe is too big and 90 degree bends are too tight.

Already have a diesel down pipe that has two 30* bends. Just need some straight and a 45 or two

Just wanted to update on my Magnaflow knock-off muffler (Was it @Mrsteef asking about it?) :

The sound has definitely changed, and for the better, since I've put a couple hundred miles on it. I'm still not wetting myself over the sound at this point, but I'm also no longer disappointed any. So, if any of you get one and aren't impressed right away, give it some time.

I saw after I posted that it was another member in another thread that was interested in the same muffler as mine. You (and Ken- thanks to him for posting that vid) have the one I was gonna switch to if I decided I didn't like mine.

You gonna post a vid(s) of yours?

I agree as well for a stock ish 5.3 but I plan on putting an 80mm turbo on it.

4" pipe may well still be too big, and more power definitely makes tight bends less desirable.

It ought to be obvoius that, for ANY engine, these two ideas contradict each other; work against each other.
