You just had them painted didnt you?

No; I had the hood and HD bumper painted and he blended the fenders but I needed to replace them eventually. The lips had never been rolled and had caught on the tires a few times because they were sharp. When I bought it, I didn’t realize the P.O. had bent them back a few times and the passenger side broke at the bend when I bent it back just once. Which made the fender real weak. So last week I hit it with a tire and it caught and trashed the fender. But it’s good timing since I just installed a new 1500 front bumper. Once the fenders are rolled, they should deflect the tire and Ill feel it and let off on the steering without damaging the fender. I have a fender roller ordered. Gotta air it up more in parking lots so I can make those tight turns, but with the fenders rolled I should have less of an issue.

This week has been major suspension week.

Both sides got new:
Upper control arms
Lower ball joints
Cv axles
Sway bar links
Sway bar bushings
Wagner brake pads

Drivers side got a new outer tie rod end

Lots of work for a shade tree mechanic. This 2500/hd stuff is a lot of work. I could barely use my hands for a couple days after doing the passenger side. I also ended up knocking off the knuckle which dropped on my ankle on the passenger side. I did not make that mistake twice. Learned a variety of techniques working on the burb this week. I've got a few little bitty things to finish up tomorrow and then it gets an alignment on Sunday.

Took the roof rack off a few weeks ago, I got bored and needed a break from being superdad.

To bad it's not an ESV.... I would've like to have the roof rack if it were.

Even if it was I wouldn’t sell it. I’m most likely going to need a rooftop cargo box for family trips since my dog occupies the cargo area in the back.

Got a lot done in the past 2 days. 5% tint all the way around, finally got the window wood trim pieces, changed the bow tie to black, remote start and installed new door

Where did you get the steering wheel sticker?

don't think it is a sticker, there is a metal cover that you replace by disassembling the airbag install the cover then put the airbag back together.

I just cut the tabs short and used some RTV in the center. No messin with the airbag for me. But that was for the center metal part which came in gold. Then I did buy a black sticker from Ebay.

Took the burb in today to get it aligned after all my suspension work.

And of course, there's a problem. Eff me running.

Folks, if you monkey with the upper control arms, make sure all your alignment cam pins are in there when you reassemble. My drivers side, rear control arm bolt was seized in there pretty dang good, so I was beating and prying on that thing for the better part of an hour. Well throughout the beating process, I must have popped out that alignment pin. I thought they were all just part of the assembly, didn't realize they were removable. Probably a good thing they are though. Anyhow, took it in to get aligned, and it wouldn't stay put to get a proper alignment. dammmmmmmmmmit. So, gotta get some new pins this week, fix that, and get it aligned again.
