I love the look of your lights and have been debating for a while. Do you have any customer pics from night time driving to see what the light output is on the road? Also can you message me about possible OEM headlights instead of going full out aftermarket? Also with your builds, how does it work with the DRL/Auto Headlight? Is it best to just disable to DRL?

Our website has a lot of pictures in the gallery section under output. As well as example pictures of builds and installs --
https://blackflamecustoms.com/gallery/

We can most likely work with OEM units, but labor pricing goes up due to their permanent seal.

Disabling DRL is ideal but not 100% required. Give us a shout through the website - https://blackflamecustoms.com/contact/

Back and forth on here isn't always ideal. Thanks!

I have a 2014 Yukon XL. I have been seriously considering this conversion. We all know how terrible the OEM output is but when the winter comes and daylight savings is in effect we have so many more hours of night driving. We also live in a rural area and combined with road grime from the winter weather we are always in the dark. High beams are useless.
Why should I use Black Flame Customs vs other brands like HID Retrofit Kit for half the money?

The HID projector packages are the best bet for proper light output and optimal performance.

If you'd like to jam a cheap plug and play HID kit into the lights, you're welcome to do so - this is far from our recommendation & just about any other shops recommendation as well. Our in depth website and 11+ years of building headlights speaks for itself.

Please contact us via our website with any interest in a package.
Thanks

Awesome! Thanks for your advice and support. So in your opinion they are not offering a complete system?

We honestly have no idea which kits they offer. Never heard of them actually.

We do know our setups are fully built, carry a lifetime craftsmanship warranty and pretty much blow away anything else out there. :)

Thanks

Do the new stock housings come with the normal adjustment points in case I need to re adjust the bulb?

Unfortunately not much at this time, sorry. You can contact us via our website with questions though - we may have other lighting options. Thanks

I see you have retrofit brackets. Any future plans for 00-06 tahoe brackets? Would be a good seller.

Nice for the depo style. But I meant for oem housings for people who want to pick out theyre own projector and shroud design.

Unfortunately not. Too much cutting/fabrication - at that point it should just be a standard full retrofit (DIY or otherwise) - this most often requires replica housings anyway as the OEM units are not ideal for installing projectors.

Please email us with further questions separate from this thread if possible.

Thanks!

We'll be adding updates along the way with builds we've completed :)

Customer Build Updates

–Customer: Robert M
–Vehicle: 2014 GMC Yukon Denali
–Projectors: MH1
–Lens Upgrades: None/Factory Clear
–Shrouds: Apollo 3.0 Chrome
–Bulbs: 3Five
–Ballasts: 3Five Morimoto
–Paint Theme: All Chrome/OEM Look
–Vinyl Logo/Decals: None
-Extras: None
–Special Notes/Our Thoughts: Robert was after a clean factory headlight look for his 2014 Denali – he of course wanted upgraded genuine HID output as well. We started with OEM replica housings, added MH1 bi-xenon projectors and topped them off with all chrome Apollo 3.0 shrouds.

What type of fog light is on this maroon Yukon? I'm looking for this look but want it to be plug and play with no flickering on startup.
Thank you in advance.
