I keep putting off dropping the rear 2 inches. Next is powder coating my wheels to match my paint. Doing the lip, inside of the spokes and leaving the outside spokes and center caps chrome. Should look good. I hope.lol
That's gonna look sa-weeeeeet when it's done man! You'll have to post up pics!

Since I know @95escahoe has been asking: during one of my many FB marketplace troll patrols I came across a clean set of 2002 Esky 3-piece engine covers so I contacted the seller and struck a deal. Little did I know that seller would turn out to be @95escahoe, lol! And this went down before we connected here on TYF too, what are the odds?

These engine covers definitely look great on the truck and as a bonus I flipped the original Vortec MAX engine cover set that came stock on her for the same price I paid for these so it was a nice "freebie" cosmetic upgrade!

Looks great still need to throw mine on

One thing I noticed when I removed the 3rd row seats is that this (purpose unknown) bracket on the left side seat bracket is broken:

Any NBS gurus out there that know what this part's purpose is or what the OEM replacement part numbers are??

Maybe try a pick and pull the parts prolly cheap or someone parting one out on CL or FB

There don't seem to be any good junk yards around here so if any of you guys happen to come across an NBS SUV in a junk yard near you and are willing to snag the part off said SUV for me I will happily reimburse you, cover shipping and add enough on top, for your troubles, to buy a 6-pack of your favorite brew!

So one thing I noticed the other day when I was cleaning out the beast is that the sail panels are black instead of color matched to the interior on this truck:

@95escahoe is your Caddy the same way?

It's gonna drive me nuts if I don't color match it now, lol! Fortunately I have already placed an order for some Colorbond Interior paint so i can refinish the center console because it has some of the dreaded paint peeling going on...anyone else tackled this project that has pointers?

I think mine match the upper part of the dash, none of my pics really show that I'll look in the am, I'm pretty sure there not black, I need to paint my center console at some point too mines not terrible but noticeable

On a more fun note: I picked up this Kobalt tool chest cart so I would finally have a proper mounting place for the tool chest topper my wife gave to me years ago that was previously just sitting on a bench in my garage:

Here is the finished product, I'm very happy with it and psyched to finally get all my tools organized!:

Hey, so I looked at mine that panel isn't black it's more of a dark grey it matches the dark grey of the upper dash

Now see that makes sense at least but on mine the sail panels are flat black, not color matched to the upper dash like yours. I'll post a pic to show you, give me a few...

Interesting topic this sail panel question. I know mine is a Tahoe LS, but I snapped a pic anyways just to throw it or there.

It was pewter to match my interior, but not dark grey like the dash. I Plasti Dipped it black and spayed the speaker grilles to give the door some contrast rather than be monochromatic.

Okay so here is a comparison shot of what my sail panel looks like compared to the dash:

My order from Colorbond came in though so I have another project for this weekend:

Although...now that I'm looking at this "situation" I feel like I want to colormatch the sail panels to the upper dash color. Dammit all! Now I have to order more paint from Colorbond, lol! Anyone happen to know what the upper dash color on a "Shale" interior NBS Esky is called??

Thanks @Bigbeardenali1992 really appreciate it! And I agree that the OEM 20's look awesome. I love most of the GM 20" optional wheel packages for this era truck. The VHO wheels are probably my favorite!
Yeah I like almost all of the optioned 20s from our gen trucks that gm made. Good looking wheels. I was gonna go with the CK805 setup but couldn't really find any near me for sale. I found my nnbs denali 20s for pretty cheap and swiped them up.

LOVE the CK805's on NBS Denali trucks! Definitely the best wheel package option for them, hands down! I debated heavily between that style, the CK948 "Torq Thrust" style and the style I ended up with. I've seen all three on NBS Esky's and they all look awesome so it really came down to the decision being made by the best deal I could score on the cleanest local set. And that was a TOUGH search here in New England because most 11-14 year old wheel sets in this region are heavily corroded from years of harsh winter salt baths!

Interesting thoughts on the sail panels. I never noticed mine because mine are the same tan color that the rest of my interior. They don't stick out like your guys' sail panels do cuz they blend together haha.

Okay, so my researching online yielded that the upper dash color on my Escalade is "Medium Dark Pewter" so I decided to roll the dice and ordered a can from Amazon:

AIzE46O.jpg

Hopefully it'll get here quick so I can start attacking this interior touchup project! Unfortunately my work schedule went from empty to full in 24 hours and now I'll be out of town Tuesday through Friday next week and Monday through Wednesday the following week. Plus my parents have invited us down to their house on the Cape for Mother's Day weekend and Mother Nature isn't being kind to me this weekend, ugh! May not get much accomplished in the next two weeks but I'm gonna try my damnest, lol
