Wheel came off while rolling

This is what happens when you have your head up your butt and you don't tighten your lug nuts all the way. Grateful no one was hurt and the main damage was to the rotor.

Yes, I watched it pass me and go between two vehicles, jump a curb and came to a stop after hitting a chain link fence. Found all 6 lug nuts as well. Back up and running the next day.

Wow, you're lucky it didn't wedge itself inside the wheel well and cause somebody damage. Glad nobody got hurt, I sure it was a sphincter tightener

Had this happen in my early days of driving on an S-10, not a good feeling at all and I also learned the lesson of rechecking lugs.

i had that happen on an f150 monster truck POS i had. but mine was from overtightening. Didnt look at what the impact was set at, pulled the lugnuts through the rim. even though it was me, still the trucks fault. that thing was garbage.

that would have been past a 10 pucker factor for me,
that would be pull leather off of seat factor lol ;)

Had this happen in my early days of driving on an S-10, not a good feeling at all and I also learned the lesson of rechecking lugs.

Back in the early 70's I almost had something similar happen to me, I was coming home from work and as I would make a turn, forget now if it was a left or right turn I would feel a slight vibration. Lucky for me there was a tire shop along the way. I stopped in there to see if they could tell me if they could see any reason for the vibration, well as soon as they got it in their 'shop' area and on a jack they instantly saw what was wrong. They brought me back there to show me that all the lug nuts on one of the wheels had become loose and was allowing the steel wheel to 'wiggle' around as I would make a turn. That cost me a new wheel, and a lesson to once in a while check the lug nuts if something doesn't 'feel' right.

Same exact thing happened to my brother years ago on his 96 Suburban. But the wheel hit the top of the wheel well and ended up causing a moderate amount of quarter panel damage in addition to damaging the brake drum and a few of the wheel studs.
You made out VERY lucky.
