Sanded down my steering wheel bowtie. Used a paint pen and painted it silver (same pen I used on the engine bay). One of those things nobody will notice but me lol

Of course blue lights make everything look cooler

I had a few small bowties off nnbs+ steering wheels but had no way of installing one. Don't want an airbag to deploy and I lose an eye cause I had a plastic emblem shoot off into my face. Doesn't make for a cool story.View attachment 198814

Be at me to it. I got those markers in a pack with red, white, silver, and gold. Had the same plan. Was the sanding necessary? Looks great!

Had big plans to declad and powder coat my denali wheels. Which I had lined up for this spring, including some other wheels to borrow during that time. But then I came across a set of nbs ltz wheels a friend was selling. For me that's the ideal wheel that I wanted (tahoe wheel on a tahoe) , but could never come across a set at the right time or price. So he agreed to swap straight across.
Don't mind the rear lift, was the autoride adjusting after being on a lift

At the shop ready for "new" shoes

I sand everything I paint, force of habit. It' not really touched or out in the elements so sanding probably isn't necessary lol.

Here's my old wheels as of yesterday. Going on that black Sierra in the pic above. Powder coated brassy gold. They look amazing and will look much better on his truck, I don't miss them at all. I only miss the chance I had to work on these, would've been a fun project. But oh well , I'm just glad they went to a good home and were finally decladded and finished up.FB_IMG_1518619035593.jpg FB_IMG_1518593328122.jpg FB_IMG_1518593328122.jpg 20180508_073329.jpg

LTZs look really good! Pops on the blue with the Esky rack too.
Yea they flow but being polished they're not as chromey as the Denalis. But that's fine, cm front and probably wrap the rack soon

So i took a long trip to Homer from Anchorage (4hrs each way). By then both my rear door speakers were already blown (actually blown channels in Bose amp) and my two fronts were intermittently working, so that made for a very long trip. Mind you i never drive this thing anymore. But as soon as i got back home that night I ordered speakers.

I've been eyeing some speakers and decided this time to pass on the generic pioneer, kicker, alpine, etc speakers and went with CT sounds strato series, which is their mid grade components. Great price and great reviews.
Old Bose....that still worked!!! I'll give it to Bose...they make one hell of a speaker.

So far they sound great just off the head unit but you can tell they're hungry for more power @150rms. So near future I might be looking for an amp for these.
