good. can't wait to see it with the mapping of ios6. ONLY reason to get the 8400 over the 4400 is if you have an iPhone. I'll be ordering 2 in about 2.5 hours... lol


don't forget to get the bypass if you do the 8400. You can't use the relay like other radios...

Haha same here man, just logged onto AT&T and checked the countdown clock. Ya appreciate the input regency, just been looking at the 8400 for awhile and had a pioneer in my old truck and really liked it.

I love my SLPs.

I say get whatever is cheapest and still constructed well.

After a while when they get dirty no one is going to look at them and say are those Volant? or SLP?

Whatever you get try to keep them clean, and it is a PITA keeping them clean...

Thanks guys, leaning towards the 8400 and waiting on the esky rack. Really like the Volant tips and will pick one up if i can get it for $50 like in the other thread.

They are back up on eBay for $65. Which is still dirt cheap. I don't know why they are all of the sudden this cheap. Last year they were $300 and I bought a used one from a member on here for like $140. Now they are less than half of that! I ended up buying a second one for my avy. Get the Volant one man it's well worth it.

they all look the same. The 8400 needs a "double ground" to make it work. you have to pull the parking brake, release it, then pull it again. Basically ground, un-ground, then ground and stay grounded again.
