I have driven Tahoe only up a 18% headed to a ski resort and it was like driving straight up to the sky. So I know for a fact 40 was not correct. And no way would you be able to tow a camper at 65 up even 8% @ 65 with out being wound out tight in second gear and about 5krpm.

Yeah the starter on the 3500 decided to go out so I had to use the hoe in a pinch.

Here's a pic of my old Tahoe towing the Trail Hog.

I traveled from Oregon to Kansas and back for a truck meet/family vacation, and was very happy with how the Tahoe performed. The weight distribution hitch made a huge difference.

What year is that AiR Stream. And what is it's GVW

I'm pretty sure it's a 73 and close to 6k lbs, but we have a hitch for it and we had thought we left it inside the airstream when we dropped it off for service but evidently not, good thing airstream HQ is only hr and half away. We almost didn't pull it back but we didn't know the next time we'd be able to. We just put in a new floor this past week, we are gonna use it as a mobile ccw training facility.

Especially when you get a good deal!

That same freight delivery man came other day and he bitched about some cases of paper being heavy. That day that skinny black man threw out every crazy word lifting my hitch. I think the box was like 200# I think right?

About 90 lbs. they are heavy. At least when we lift them they have banding straps on them which make nice handles. You should hear the guys when we ship FW hitches that gets me real mad!

Hahaha yes I did. Our banding machine sucks when in doubt duck tape can fix it all.
