Well front suspension finally shipped.

I also ordered Elevated Concepts Rack and Pinion conversion kit.

She goes into the shop on 4/11. I believe for a week, maybe 2. Just the suspension and steering upgrades. POR15 the frame, freshen it up.

Only thing I’m waiting on is the wheels right now. Praying those come before 4/11 so i can just have it all done in one shot.
Can't wait for the after pics.

So the suspension install got pushed back until next week due to scheduling.

I got a bug up my ass today and decided to finally install the factory valance and fog lights. Such a big difference. Looks much nicer.

That does look way better. Better watch out for curbs though.

Not a whole lot to report. Front end is pretty much done. Needed a new steering shaft for the rack and pinion conversion so that came today. Ran into some clearance issues on the passenger side of the truck due to the SMOG equipment hitting the coilover bracket. That has since been handled.

I need to look into wether I should remove the entire smog system from the truck and what it entails. Or leave it as is.

Anywho… about all i got right now.

The old notch was welded in so had to be removed for the new one. I had them weld the new one in since I’ll never be putting the suspension back to stock or anything close to it.

Frame is getting cleaned up and the surface rust removed so it’ll be fresher.

Progress pic…

well... she's back on the ground. Wheels were supposed to have shipped from Budnik last week, yet they still haven't, so that's a big bummer for me.

The only problem we have right now (and there were a lot pf them), is the steering rack conversion kit that I got seems pretty weak. The bracket flexes pretty bad when steering. Not sure if this is a common issue with them, but we are working to get it resolved. Im not sure I would use this company again.

Once we get the rack bracket issue resolved, it will be aligned and sent back home for the next round of goodies.
