So I just bought some ck375 replicas but I'm curious about what to do in the winter. The guy at the garage said I should definitely take them off but I'm skeptical. Can't I just wash them after I drive through the salted snow? What has your experience been?

Btw, I live in Kansas City so we do see some good winter weather here...not quite like Florida winters.

In the past I've had good luck with just keeping on top of keeping the rims washed and polished in the winter time and you should be good.

I leave mine on year round-we get a shit ton of salt dropped on the roads up here too. When/if it goes out--I just grab a bucket of hot water and rinse off the rims afterwards at least. Mine still look as good as when I picked up the truck.

I guess it all depends if your budget will allow for a 'winter set' too....

I've lived in KC my whole life and never had "winter rims". I've just kept on top of keeping my rims cleaned and polished and never had an issue

I'm just not sure as to the quality of the aftermarket chrome application process on those specific rims ... until someone actually goes through a couple of winters with them on it'll be hard to tell.

All my chrome rims have fared great during DC winters, but i wash them regularly. I know that even oem chrome will peel and flake if they're not quickly cleaned after whatever salt or chemicals they use to clear the road gets on them.

if you are good about cleaning your wheels you should be OK. if you dont plan on keeping on top of that, a set of winter wheels will prololong the life of your chrome
