My wife is only 5'3 and she has to do a lot of parallel parking. She is constantly hitting the curbs, and scraping the rims. Sometimes she even leaves her back right tire on the curb. Will this kill the alignment?

well, i see this is an on going issue. her height dont have a damn thing to with it. her use or maybe even non use of the mirrors is the issue here. teach her how to park, or start making her buy new tires and alignments and worn out parts due to her poor parking habits.

Yeah, buy one of those 5 year wheel alignment policies at places like Tire Kingdom and make sure to get the top of the line road hazard and abuse package too for the tires! You'll never get her to pay for it so forget about that happening! Mine was driving around on flat tires and thought nothing of it the other day. But she does enjoy dropping my truck's mileage into the single digits!

I have no comment. :) My wife drives an itty bitty (by comparison) Chevy Cruze and as much as she loves the XL as our family hauler, camper tower, etc, she loves being a passenger in my ride and is terrified to drive it herself.

what's her policy when parking in a garage? keep pulling in until she hears the bumper or drywall cracking?

that other thread was laugh out loud funny. 'what's causing this weird white ring around the tires? my wife thinks we keep getting faulty tires'

lol, you fell for the "I'm too short excuse" huh, if you have power mirrors there is a little thing in the DIC called memory mirror assist.

There's a setting on my truck to tilt the mirrors down when in reverse. It's nice when needed, but to much of a pita to do on the fly.

It does it for you every time you go into reverse. Not much to do on the fly

It's just another memory setting for side mirror position. You can even tell it which mirror (s) to do. I have my passenger side on and driver off.
