Whistling from tweeter speakers

I have a 2003 tahoe and recently I started getting a fairly loud whistling coming from the tweeter speakers. This noise fluctuates when I step on and off the accelerator pedal. Any ideas what could be causing this. I have the bose audio with a cheap aftermarket touch screen head unit.

Did the whistling start right after you did something with/to the truck?

No, it just started out of the blue one day. I can put my hand over the tweeter speaker and it muffles the whistling a bit.
