Which Combo for Towing

So I'm buying a new 2016 Suburban soon. I own a furniture/decor store and travel with a 12' enclosed single axle trailer.

I don't necessarily need 4x4 and not getting it saves me $3k which is awesome.

Would I find the 'Max Trailering Package' useful? It changes the rear axle ratio from 3.08 to 3.42

Does the LTZ have a rear load leveling suspension still?

I'm towing about a total of 5,500lbs. Mostly flat cruising at 70-80mph in Texas.

Advice, help, opinions appreciated in advance!

Get the Max Tow option. In 2WD you get the 3:42, Heavier Oil and Transmission coolers, beefier brakes, springs and of course the auto leveling air ride suspension. Also included is the on board dash controlled trailer brake controller. For $450 MSRP it's a GREAT bargain.

A total tow of 5500# dictates an ideal tongue weight of 550# (10% of total trailer weight) and with out the air leveling that much weight directly at the rear of the vehicle will sag the rear end....but with the automatic air leveling you will ride nice flat and smooth.

I did quite a bit of searching to find the Max Tow option on my new 2016 Yukon and for me that was a deal breaker. I pull a 7500# boat and I am running 600#-650# tongue weight and mine does a great job.
