I was wondering what is the name/ part # of this thing there a huge problem in the rears for the 2000-2002 models because they squeak like hell but I'm pretty sure after 2003 they changed um out I'm looking for the new piece to fix this problem!!! Thanks guys!

I found this. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26354 It sounds like your problem. There is also a TSB that I think is for the hinges. You would have to go to a dealer to find out. It is TSB #010864015.

as long as its biodegradable i don't think you'll have a problem, the "hoes" might come out..

you mite think im stupid but i was havin the same problem on my 02 rear doors ecspecialy the driver side. i lubed sprayed anything i could and the squeek would not go away. the problem of the squeek was not he hinges but the corner of the door rubbing on the rubber up top when u would open the door.

yes i know this thats why they made them plastic after 03 i believe....it doesnt make any noises or anything

yes they are door checks....I had mine replaced last week...all four pieces...I'll ask my mechanic the part #'s
