What does this extra hose connect to?!

So I grabbed the pressure washer out this afternoon to rinse off the Nali(6.0L V8) and decided to hit the lower areas of the engine bay with some degreaser and power washed it. While I’m under the hood I see this extra little plastic tubing coming off the top of my coolant reservoir. It doesn’t seem to be connected to anything but I can only assume I knocked it loose. Anyone know where it connects to?! It’s less of a hose and more of the plastic tubing that goes around wiring to protect from water and such. Where did I knock this loose form I can’t seem to see where it’s supposed to connect to!

Unless I'm mistaken, that is the vent hose for the cooling system. It is a hose to direct any coolant that blows through it to the ground.

It just hangs down and directs overflow from the surge tank.

It just hangs down, it’s there so in case your engine overheats and over pressurizes, the cap will release the pressure and coolant / vapor will be released through the hose.

That makes sense! I Didn’t know it was there til today when I was pressure washing everything down.... DOH!! Lol
