I agree. They are flying off the lots here and I've seen quite a lot on the road. Really growing on me. Sent while drivi-

I'm still not a fan of the Tahoe, love the Yukon though. I also saw a new escalade going opposite of me on the highway.

im actually quite pleased with the new models. to me , the first NBS was the generation i would like to make believe never happened. ive tried to like them , make myslef like them , but still end up thinking they look like bloated whale carcasses. i like to see a car company giving some importance back to style rather than purely wind-tunnel design like it seems every sedan these days has been designed with boring results. when i first saw this latest design i immediatly thought that this was the best modern take on the timeless OBS style which we all love. i was always a ford guy and hated where they took the expedition and explorer. they should have took the design ques from the full size f series and adapted to the SUV line , like it seems GM did with good result. now the explorer is just another half / car / half truck - whatever it is "crossover" nonsense that seems to be all over our roads.

anyhow, this is just one mans automotive rant!:D

I can't decide. I also am not a fan of the NBS but love the NNBS. To me it seems the waist is a little too high on the newest ones. I think it needs a little more window height. But the interior looks awesome.

They are still at the dealers over here. Didn't do anything to the hoe but can't figure this rough idle out on my ranger... Cleaned maf with maf cleaner, cleaned iacv, replaced plugs, replaced fuel filter I'm lost... Gonna have to take it to get scanned and go from there if not gonna have to take to my buddies shop and have home fix it or go Wild on eBay and purchase parts til it gets fixed

Saw first one in person on saturday. There was a new Silverado, a new SS and a new Tahoe, with signs on the doors saying "Chevrolet Test Drive" not sure what that was about...

But ill leave this right here..

The iac is a common failure on the ranger I replaced one twice on my 98, pick up one from the junkyard cheap and see if it helps

I cleaned that sucker good. I woukdnt be surprised. They are cheap on eBay but my old man doesn't want me throwing money at it if it's not gonna fix it. Kinda tempted to pull it back off and see if it moved at all from where it was. Mines a 97

What does it idle at? I'm assuming its a 4.0? Idle higher than 1200rpm would be your first sign its the controller. You should also be able to hear it actuate when you cycle the key without starting it as well

if it is at the right idle rpm and changes as it normally does but really rough it like cylinders are skipping beats sounds like your IAC is doing its job would look into things affecting spark and mixture.

It's the wimpy 2.3 no rpm gauge so no idea but starting it revs it up fairly good then quickly down and rough and dead

Weird thing is it was working good just shut off and would have to restart a few times but idled fine. My dad replaced a couple plugs but unplugged crap and that's when it started doing it. I found that he left an injector plug unplugged so plugged it in. I finished the job but removed the throttlebody to get to the last plug. Is it possible the gasket for the throttlebody isn't on good causing it to act funky?

A vacuum leak would cause rough idle for sure. I bought a grand am once that ran like hell, it only needed a vacuum line fixed

Nothing looks disconnected tho... Looked at the vacuumes and they are fine. Saw one hose open but it was for wipers and connected it. Tempted to just pull the throttle body off again and inspect the gasket.
