Got them at an auction. Military rescue baskets of Stokes variety. No documentation, just the olive drab straps and a serial number plate with no manufacturer.

got this done this morning before heading to work. We shall see how the new one performs. Never heard of this issue before so not sure exactly why the original failed to begin with but onward we go I created a mediocre write up in the tech section for anyone else who may experience it in the future.

I'd be bummed but like you said nothing you can do about mother nature. Hopefully insurance gets you taken care of.

I will if they total it. I will set it on fire and jam a baseball bat in between the gas pedal and seat. There is a nice rock quarry close by I can send it flying into.
