Swapped my bench seat for buckets in the 2012. @zmusclow drove all the way up from North Carolina with 2 kids in tow to do the swap. Thankfully it was raining cats and dogs which gave us a chance to practice our frustration tolerance. Lol.

Zack is a super nice guy, and an active duty Marine. Thank you for your service, sir!

Does the bench model have the power fold buttons on the C-pillars like the bucket models do? Did all the wire harnesses plug right in? Heated?

Yes and yes. Literally plug and play. The only difference was in the carpet but that’s only a matter of a small slice that’s easily made with a knife. Zach and I swapped carpets but it wasn’t absolutely necessary.

Anyone have any idea what this thing is wired into my mirror??? There is no external screen to go with it and I cannot determine it’s purpose :hmm:

Patent listed inside.

Some sort of radar or a laser jammer?
Odd, or peculiar, rather.
Considering someone put a governor on it preventing it from going over 80 I doubt it’s a jammer but I don’t know  it’s wired into the rear view mirror

Maybe it was some kind of of HUD, you can slide the long plastic piece down that covers the mirror wires up and then it just pops off, then you can follow the wire for the device which is probably tucked into the headliner and leading over to the pillar and follow from there.
other possibilities are some kind of automatic gate opener, looks like it is possibly a infra-red device, you could turn the key to run and then put your camera over the front of it outside the window and see if there is any light shining from it, infra-red is not visible to the human eye but a camera should pick it up.

Do you have anything like lane departure, automatic wipers, accident avoidance, etc?
I do have lane departure. Did they use big devices like this in 09 for that??

I think that's the rain sensor that turns on your wipers automatically.
:hmm: interesting. I was assuming the sensor for that would have been a little less bulky but could be. Wish this thing came with an owners manual but it didn’t and I’m sure it’d say something about it in there

I'm wrong, the rain sense is the smaller square black box. I had to check since my Tahoe LTZ has this feature. Now I'm not sure what that larger box of yours is

Well chit. The other front door speaker just quit. Def Leopard sounds awfully weird coming through just the A pillar tweeters.

Has anyone successfully used something like a sharpie or paint pen to color in their stick on wheel weights? They really show through the spokes on a black wheel

But anyway, here's pics of the new wheels/tires installed
