Katzkin makes such nice stuff....they have the tuscan brown leather I want for the tahoe but how I want it configured is 2 grand...ooooof
Yeah, I considered something that’s not off-the-shelf but that means it has to be installed by a dealer and the price jumps up 3-4 times as much. I bought the entire kit for $575 and I’m going to sell my factory leather for $400.

yeah that was kinda irritating that it was only available to be installed, I couldnt buy it and do it myself. I feel like they lost a lot of their customization options as far as colors and such now

Did you buy a nice filter for it, too?
Just a brand new ac delco one

How does the original fender opening size compare to the size of the tube or throttle body (volume wise)?

Airflow in a system is limited to the smallest point in the system.

We're not talking forced induction here, where air is compressed/forced through the tubes, but sucked through by what the engine needs. My stock 6.2l with 403hp (410 on E85) uses the same sized opening in the fender, and pretty sure the same intake tubing, as the lower HP 5.3l.

All the tubes do is quiet the airflow and take up space...lol

The map sensor reads a higher pressure than it used to, on days with similar weather. I may not know a whole hell of a lot about fluid dynamics, but I know there is more to it than peak flow numbers. Its not game changing stuff, but it is better than it used to be by 0.2 pounds at peak rpm

Probably due to new filter, lol

It just depends on what options you want, like all leather upgrade, two different colors, different colored stitching etc. Any changes add up fast.

Plugs n wires and brake switch replaced. Damn cold wishing it was last week here when it was in the 50-60’s. Will see in the next few days to see if this parts fix my recent throttle & inop cruise issues on my SSV.

From as East as you can go in Pa before crossing the Delaware into NJ.

I do not. I tell people it's about 3/6, but it's really about 2.5/6.25 by what the parts advertise. Didn't measure before... McGaughy's 2" spindles and adjustable Belltech struts with a 1/2" spacer removed in front. Depending on where I park, the front can be a little higher than the rear so I'm tempted to pull another spacer out. Norcalss 6" rear springs with upper isolators removed (shorter sway bar links, trailing arm extenders, Belltech SP shocks with extenders, adjustable panhard bar.

Rear fender liners trimmed a bit (no rubbing now). Trimmed the front ones as well but still rubs on occasion. same 285/45/22

I'm almost a clone of yours with McG spindles, BT SP struts and ~4.25" rear drop from Jeep TJ coils with BT SP shocks and all the other same parts- DJM arm relocators, DJM end links and Spohn panhard. I measured every corner to the 1/8th before and after. The McG spindles actually dropped 1.5" and the BT struts with all spacers removed dropped ~1.75". It should've been 2" for each. I put one ring in the driver's side strut to reduce the drop 1/2" to fix the Chevy Lean. I'm within 1/16" left to right and if I average the left and right net drop amounts, I'm right at 3" front, 4" rear.

I fixed my rear clearance this weekend with rolled fender lips, trimmed and tucked liners and reshaped the bulges in the liners with a heat gun. I'm not gonna have nearly the amount of improvement in the front unless I can reshape the metal part of the fender and make the liner match. Mine rubs well before I've turned the front wheels even half of their available angle. Might just go old school with a BFH.
