In Florida there are three variations that are protected. We have a weird looking one in our canals, really long claws, but have not seen these down south here before, probably because I never looked or paid attention!

As for the Egrets, there was a veritable feast going on then! See them out there in the distance? We stopped to shoot this photo where moments before 3 bobwhite quail were running around. About a hundred yards to the left of this photo is where the crawfish encounter happened. Busy place!

Kind of hard to tell, but it's quite possible those are egrets or herons. That's interesting about Florida crawfish. I really don't think we have the endangered ones here. If so, our pups are going to be in a whole lot of trouble!!

We've lived here in a semi-rural part of southeast Texas for about 20 years. One fall afternoon, we had a covey of about a dozen quail show up in our back yard. We've never seen them since.

Wow, I don't think I've seen anyone on the forum go from a dd to a single din. Like it better? I probably could've cut you a good deal on one--has the chime box too.

It's temporary! It's definitely louder and has more EQ options than the factory Bose HUs. It just looks "meh".

All I wanted was Bluetooth. I found a Pioneer touchscreen I want but need to sell my OEM touchscreen to fund it. I pulled it out last night to put the original "basic" HU back in when I saw the single DIN deck, dash kit, antenna adapter and interface I had in my old work van- a '13 Express. According to Axxess, the GMOS-LAN-01 won't work for an LTZ with the standard Bose amplified system and I'd need the GMOS-LAN-02. I tried it anyway since I already had it. I can't find anything that doesn't work other than the rear seat controls (don't care or need) and it uses the clicking of a relay for the turn signal clicks (Already knew about that and am fine with it).

I wish I would've tried this 2 years ago!

That photo was of Egrets (which subspecies was too far to tell) and there were wading birds of all kinds out and feasting including three very large Sandhill Cranes.

I have a slow leak in the ds front rim/tire. I'll have to take it to the shop where I had the tires put on. Takes about a week for it to go about flat.

Catch can, new wiper blades, and stop lamp switch ordered from amazon. Should be there right before I get back. Anyone ever install LED's in Spyderco low beam projectors? Read somewhere that H9 LED's fit but was wondering before I went out and dropped 100 bucks on them.

Picked it up from the mechanic today. It needed a new upper and lower transmission shift cable, Also had the front doors re-tinted 20%.

Installed the AirRaid MIT and AEM filter I had sitting in my garage from the totalled 2011. I also used my Diablosport to install a canned performance tune with the DOD/AFM and Torque Management disabled. Cleaned the throttle blade and opening while at it.

Picked it up from the dealership yesterday (Monday) with a bit over 1/4 tank (10 gals or so) and filled up with 20 gals of E85 on the way home to top it off.

Forgot to add....

Swapped center console cup holder to a standard yukon/tahoe style. I like the extra storage space plus the removable cup holder section makes drive thru carry trays fit nicely

In the process of rebuilding my rear end. Bought a boneyard rear end few months ago. Recently it started making a train noise when off the gas. Somehow the right rear clip broke or came loose, who knows how it happened or if someone been in there before.

5 hours into vacation and I found out someone left the lower rad clamp in the service position and it leaks all coolant out over the starter shorting it

The only way to really know your rig is to do it yourself. Whether its in an auto zone parking lot or on a dirt road in the boondocks. Props!
