Late night project for me yesterday, installed GM OE clear tails and 3rd brake light. Initially I liked the clear look. I'm not getting rid of the chrome trim so the chrome in the lights accented the truck well. But to be honest, the quality of those tails are below par. At night with lights on you can see how dusty and dirty the inside of the housing is. Not to mention all the finger prints from the person who put it together.

So... After seeing DWebPro's tails, I'm thinking I'm either gonna tint them black or tint them with color match. THe truck is Black Ice/ Carbon Flash so not sure how color match tint would look. Open to opinions.

I bought them smoked, now I need to figure out a way to match the smoke on the tail lights to the third brake light.

Vacuumed and checked everything out for my vacay down to Ocean City in a couple days. Noticed what appear to be random microscopic rust spots about an inch under the door trims,, ugh... Need to get those looked at.

I added a super white LED strip to my grill and wired in a relay to my DRL's so during the day my DRL's turn on like normal but when my headlights come on my DRL's do to. I also turned off my torque management and now my all wheel drive escalade will do an all wheel drive burn out at or below 35MPH with wet pavement of course. I cant wait to see what it does on dry. I know a lot of people have mixed feelings on turning on the TM. I may turn it back off because i know ill abuse it. My esky is scary fast with out it tho.

Received new headlights to start the Projector retrofit.



Finally got a shot of the tail lights in action, I did notice what I read on another thread about the blinker and when the brake pedal is pressed. It doesn't bother me, I just need to figure out how to fix it...

I picked up this on eBay...

Actually I should say I stole this on eBay, picked it up for $7.50 plus $15 to ship it. The appliqué has never been painted. I'm trying to decide if I should have this one painted to match or just cut out the back up camera mount and install it into mine...thoughts? Also the camera says 12V, do some of the later cameras run on 12 volts or do they all need a transformer to get down to 5 volts?

That's what I'm leaning towards. Somehow it's actually the right appliqué with all the right holes and the camera mount already installed. I've got to get my hitch cover painted anyways, I can just have him do this while he's doing that.
