lol, that's kind of how parts of Washington are nice 75 deg, then snow or ice, then back to 65 again, you can drive and hit it all in one day in some places.

Even the weather in 2020 is crazy.........Can't wait til this year is over.
It’s crazy even for Denver. Although, years ago, when I worked a swing shift, I went in to work in shorts and a T-shirt (although that’s pretty much what I always wear).. then at midnight, leaving the office I had 8-10” of snow on my car! Lol

Ok..... Back on track.....

Installed that door edge weather strip from Amazon onto the leading edge of the rear doors where the front doors close. Took it out and got gas afterwards, no highway driving, but it does sound quieter.

I also have to close the doors harder for them to close all the way. I'm sure once they get broken into shape of the door it will close easier.

I’m still undecided on pads and rotors for the NNBS upgrade on my ‘03 Yukon. (Plus, I still need to clean up and paint the calipers. Lol. Hate doing that stuff in 100 degree weather.. ) I was considering the Powerstop Z36 kit. I’ve been really happy with their Carbon / Ceramic pads, so that’s a win, but not sure about the rotors. I tend to warp smaller rotors (like my civic) but definitely don’t want any noise or brake dust.

Feedback and personal experience is welcome. [emoji106]

Soooo, last night at the boat launch my parking brake took a shit. Now that I have to rip everything apart to get to them I am doing this kit sooner than expected.

Chrome tow hooks, sway bar bushings front and rear, wheel locks.. was gonna install my catch can but found out I didn’t have enough hose for both valve covers to catch can, so I’m gonna have to find a t fitting and maybe use up these spare an fittings I have laying around...
No pics? Didn’t happen.

Btw, it’s pretty typical to only have the catch can attached to the driver side, as that’s the one that generates more oil consumption. Unless you’re boosted, there should be no need to attach to both valve covers.

When you change the parking brake shoes confirm the quality of the clips that hold them down. The new ones I got were crap and I ended up reusing my old ones.

Mine broke completely a while back. I had it replaced and the damn thing won’t stay in correct adjustment.

The cable or the shoes won’t stay adjusted?
I’m not sure to be honest. I haven’t messed with it, had my mechanic deal with it. It works great for a couple months and then it fails to hold the vehicle. I believe it’s the shoes.

You don’t want to attach the catch can do the passenger side- that’s the “clean side” where clean air is pulled in to the PCV system. If your catch can has 2 inlets, the other needs to go to the intake tube with a check valve. The passenger valve cover can benefit from a clean side separator if you’re boosted.
