Yeah I've seen enough engines hydrolocked to know better not to even try without proper gear. That and I don't need to end up on youtube floating down the river when tahoe turns raft!I used to live in Marin County ( across - North of Golden Gate Bridge)....
I used to see guys in trucks drive through "rain water"... not remembering it was flooded salt water.
Real smart.
I took my front actuator apart, cleaned it, spread the lube back around, reinstalled. Been working perfectlyfor 3 years nowRear temp actuator failed. Stuck on hot. Removed panel an actuator cover. Then I pulled the gear shown in hand and moved the door to cold and reinstalled. Don’t want to spend any money lol![]()

Tell me more... I haven't pulled the switches apart; are they SMDs that need soldering or regular bulbs? I'm interested in doing a color change in my Denali.... when I put blue leds in.
They are SMD’s you have to remove and solder in the new LEDS. I used a kit I got off eBay. He has a kit for each section of the interior. Definitely can go cheaper by purchasing separate LEDs, but these were cube leds and have built in resisters. Come with good instructions, which helped as it was my first time soldering. I’ve done everything except the rear ac/radio controls on the back of the center console.Tell me more... I haven't pulled the switches apart; are they SMDs that need soldering or regular bulbs? Thanks, Mike! I'll check that out. I've done SMD swap in my old MINI Cooper, so this wouldn't be much different, then.^^ Don’t think the link is working. Search ebay seller GM-gauge-repair and check out his store.
Man that looks really sharp! What lift did you use?View attachment 220825 Finally installed my lift on my Tahoe, and man does it make a difference

Checked crankshaft endplay to rule out a failed thrust bearing as the cause of my grenaded trans. It's within specs at .0035.View attachment 220905 View attachment 220906
I found the need to buy a dial caliper when Performabuilt tried to blame crankshaft end play for their trans breaking. They covered it under warranty but didn’t want to admit the trans broke on its own. But I also think the tow driver did more damage to it trying to unload an AWD off a flatbed when the trans was locked up.Checked crankshaft endplay to rule out a failed thrust bearing as the cause of my grenaded trans.
