So it's this what I'm looking at to replace it with? Pic one or two?

Finally had a chance to do a quick wash on the Yuk, after the salty nasty snow and slush. I'm pretty happy with this 15-year-old paint. She's purty! But I need to fix quite a few paint chips.. So I'm getting ready to order this dupli-color scratch fix touch up paint.. Never had good luck with these kind of repairs.. I know I'll need to fill the color, and somehow apply clear coat on top, and I will need to sand and buff, polish, wax, etc.. but I really have no idea what I'm doing. I'd rather improve it, than make it worse, so any pointers, or step by step would be very much appreciated!View attachment 215618 View attachment 215620

Saw this one day but it looks like work, many utube vids out there, ive watched a few but the one thing ive come across time and time again is to clean the chip well then get a small paint brush (think kids artist brush) or this thing

Let us know how the painted projector bowl turns out if its different in terms of light reflection or output compared to your current lights. I thought about painting the projector bowl but didnt. I used 600 grit as well and bulldog adhesion promoter.

Just painting the housings. Reflectors and reflector bowl will remain untouched.

Stripped the chrome off my spare headlight.
Used Yellow Easy Off. What a mess. Ended up wet sanding with 600 grit using the easy off as a lubricant. Worked well but messy.

Good thing it's a spare cus I ****** the taping up for the high beam reflector lol

Engine cover looks much better. If you decide to redo it just bring it inside. Just the one bolt and it comes off. Any mess ups I just went over with a sharpie.

As far as the lights I learned the hard way you can’t tape off the areas while using the oven cleaner. Tape will soak up the cleaner and bleed through. My next thought would be to plastidip the area you want to keep chrome then spray the oven cleaner then peel the dip. But after all that work you might as well just sand by hand and use adhesion promoter like mark said lol.

My .02 cents

Finally got my parking brake working again. No thanks to @MadDogDelpho for posting about his not working. I had to go try mine and snap no more cable LMAO. So since his post I've been without one. Not as hard as I thought.

Ok I am not getting anything on their site. Any part numbers possibly so I can find them? Thank you brother!

Just go to Amazon and search for rear bump stops for a 2004 Suburban. I found them in a couple seconds. Rock Auto doesn’t list them for some reason.

Thanks yea I have removed the engine cover many times lol.

I didnt think of the plastidip idea but I'll probably strip and paint the reflector and get the Profile Hi-Lens for the high beam spot with a shroud

Removed the rear KYB excels and installed Monroe Load Adjust shocks #58639. Rraised the rear 1.5". They are the same length as the KYB's but compress less because of the coil springs. I prefer the stance. So far I like the dampening they provide. I'll update as I drive more.

Did the KYB's get soft on you?

One of the bottom metal sleeves inside the bushing was rattling against the bolt. The KYB's are softer but that's why I went with them. Helps with certain bumps and other ones not so much.
