My goal is decyphering Class2 messages and communicating with the car. Also, I plan to install 2 speed Transfer case with a low gear and lock out of Hummer H2 or Tahoe with NR4 option, and I need to make the TCCM work with my vehicle. I am half way there, the TCCM actually shifts to Low-Lock, but it I've got a "Stability disabled" message on the cluster, and I need to figure out why. The Tech2 shows that Stability actually enabled, so I suspect it's a different calibration in EBCM for escalades end Tahoes (both with Active brakes JL4 option).

reading your post real quick and this jumped out at me. My trucks turn off traction control and stabilitrac when I shift to 4lo

I've actually been paying AAA Premium membership for the past several years and never used or needed it. What am I doing wrong? :)

Lucky. Couple summers ago my gf broke down with the hoe and less then a mile away I was broken down with my van. Came in handy that day!

Same, AAA gold premium whatever it is...I got so if the wife was out and about and I wasn’t around... never used it..... last year (2 yrs ago?) I just had an extra car at work and didn’t feel like getting a ride into work with someone, so I had them tow it home...70 mile tow for nothing but membership dues I’ve been paying for years

Mine displays it reagrdless of the gear in the transfer case. Traction disabled in Low gear is by design. It has to be a firmware in EBCM (Electronic Brake Control Module, responsible for ABS and Stabilitrack), cuz escalade has a button "Disable stability" hardwired to EBCM, but in NR4 Tahoe/Suburban that button is hardwired to the TCMM, and TCCM sends Class2 message to EBCM to disable Stabilitrack. I checked GM catalogs, and the EBCM for both Escalade and Tahoes have the same p/n (as long as they both have JL4 option), so hardware remains the same, so it must be differences in software

That's actually a good idea. I was thinking about maybe one time some day in the future to buy a non drivable car for pennies and was thinking about getting it home. This might be an answer.

Finally got around to painting the speaker grilles. Decided krypton semi gloss black was good enough for $4, couldn’t get the right SEM paint locally (and it’s like $20). Had to disassemble the passenger side lock assembly, it wasn’t turning on the dome light anymore, so I said “might as well paint em.” Lock contacts were nasty green. Hopefully it works after reassemble heh heh 25339A79-2B6C-4147-85AB-83FAF4845ED0.jpeg

Picked these up last night on offer up. Were down the street from my house. Guy took them off a 2021 Trailboss in favor of some aftermarket 20s and 35" tires. His truck still had paper plates in the driveway. Can't wait to mount them!!

You’re not driving hard enough. I had my truck towed home twice in the last year. One time, I broke the output shaft on my transmission. Another time I did a WOT reverse AWD launch and snapped the front axle tube and shredded a CV joint. I do have a blower so it makes it easier to break things but I have confidence in you. Give it a shot.

These are 18s on 275/65/18. Will let you know if they don't fit my 2005. Yeah the guy I got them from had nice set of Fuel Off Road 20" wheels. I need locks and wheel locks. Going to crank on the front keys a bit to minimize front rake. I plan on lifting it with 3" spindles as I don't want to deal with poor suspension geometry and
