Hauled my parts truck to the farm in Arkansas. Lot of climbing to do up dirt roads so the 4 Lo came in handy.

Towing about 6-7k lbs. Got about 12mpg. Empty trailer - around 2300 lbs, got about 16 mpg.

Just got back from the trip. I towed about 7000 lbs for 400+ miles and about the same distance empty.... not once did the trans temp go above 170F, the highest I saw was 169F. Ambient temps were in the low 90s.

I think the 10-speed is very towing friendly. Has all the gearing needed to make small adjustments to torque with cruise control on. The 5.3 did great as well, not once did I feel lack of power/pull... Engine braking was very effective a few times while descending steep terrain.

I actually didn't do a single thing to it yesterday. Not even drive it. Sometimes you have to relax and enjoy your weekend without having to drive everywhere.

We drove with friends in two cars to the coast of the sea on a short vacation, having traveled 2000 km one way on the road in 23 hours, spent 3 days at the sea, and then 2000 km back. The Yukon is still a great car for long-distance travel, with a trailer with jet skis.

Curious what the speed rating is on those trailer tires

Had my custom shop add a double-layer of SoundSkins to all four door panels, underneath the floor carpet and a second rubber gasket to all the door and window surrounds on my ESV. The improvement is SHOCKING.

On the decibel meter, the truck now runs at an average of 64 db at 70 mph. Based on the Car & Driver test of the world's quietest vehicles, it's into Bentley Bentayga (61 dBa) and Rolls Royce Cullinan (62 dBa) territory. TOTALLY worthwhile!!!

...pic's wouldn't load; is there a secret code? Also added LED tail lights and Flowmaster FX true dual exhaust. I'm trying to figure out why nothing but text is loading.

for the exhaust
