What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I purchased a grille from a Suburban LTZ with the intent to make it an RST grille. First pic is how it looked when I bought it. 2nd pic is with it taken apart. The "surround" area will be paint matched Champagne Silver Metallic, and the "inner" area will be gloss black. It was quite a chore to get this thing separated, but I'm anxious for the results!

Curious what your plan to prep the chrome area of the grill for paint? Paint doesn’t really like to still to chrome coated plastic very well. Most body shops won’t guarantee or warranty any body paint work over chrome, some actually won’t even prep and paint it at all. Especially with being a front grill piece it’ll take a beating in day-to-day driving.

New front brakes on the wife's 16, the old one's were not really bad but did have a little material in the rotors so they pulsated sometimes, went a little extra on the grease lolView attachment 409552

Got rid of the bug guard and black nerfs, added roof rails, and changed my wheel skins to chrome. I like it. Looks like a different ride - a little old school vibe - come on Snoop were going streaking...

Changed the front sway bar end-links for OEM at 97k because they was shot on my 2018 Escalade. I also changed the rear sway bar end-links to DuraLast gold because they are built better then OEM. The DuraLast comes with grease fittings and lifetime time warranty. I also replaced my driver taillight because one of the red LED’s was not bright like the other’s and it looked bad from behind. I found used taillights, both driver and passenger OEM for $350 in great condition. Now my truck looks good from behind. I could probably sell my old lights for $350 or more.

wondering if I can save a few bucks and grab what I need from a wrecker yard.
yes i know it has to be turned on in the ecm

I guess I should have asked what type of shock absorber instead of what kind. Was trying to figure if it's of air or magnetic variety.

I don't know I am just going off of the limited research I have done, looking at the oem options from 15-20. From what I saw they stopped making them flex fuel in 16 and/or some have it and some do not.
the Silverado and Suburban both have RPO code FHO, but the flexfuel harness should be present with a dummy connector.
found another place that sells a kit for $279.00 plug-n-play, you just have to turn it on in the ecm/tune
with e85 generally being $1 a gallon cheaper that kit would pay for it's self in 12 tank fulls
I have the BB tune on the Silverado so I could just have them turn it on, the Suburban has that flashpaq so I would have to reach out to them to see if they can or will turn it on or if it is turned on already and just not documented.

I checked underneath on my 2018 Prem and it has the connector for it in the same place as the Silverado's do

Looks like 5.3L engines had the option, identified by a yellow gas cap in 2015 Tahoes and Yukons. Looks like 6.2L did not have the option for flexfuel.

for me it is long term savings, I would happily pay $20 less a tankful, I fill up one or the other about once a week
fuel prices are trending back down this week, it's been $6+ because they are switching to the winter blend and shut down the refineries for maintenance while doing it.
total money grab scam in this state. Next year fuel prices should drop nationwide because there are 2 more new refineries coming online
Canada is also building a pipeline to divert some of the midwest oil to the west coast so that will make prices rise a smidge there and drop a smidge here as well
that line is supposedly going to be completed sometime next year
also the e85 station is less than 1/2 mile from where I drive every day.

Based on age I would say it's air ride, passive magnaride. So it's not a real magnaride shock, but has the electronics at the top to fool the system. Now Arnott makes a real magnaride air shock replacement.

yep, but they can be converted just have to buy the kit and have it turned on in the tune/ecm

From what I have found all the k2's should have the connector under the frame in front of the gas tank
