So I decided to gut the interior this weekend. I was able to find all the upfitter remnants and remove them along with finding all the oem harnesses so I can connect the lighting I want to install along with add the trailer brake control. Turned out to be a bigger job than I thought as it took most of the weekend but glad it is done.
That’s still easier than dropping the headliner.

That is coming next.
It’s no fun. Especially if the only reason is to get to the roof rack attachment nuts.

I used the opportunity to run some power wiring to the liftgate.

The new roof rack is cool though.

That is a nice looking roof rack! Thanks for the pictures as I have pulled many headliners but not with ac routed through it so this one will be less fun.
If you want, its a good time to add dynamat to the roof for some extra sound damping while the headliner is down.

I changed my rear shocks for $300 for parts and $150 for labor. I saw this ad on FB marketplace and thought they was used. I thought that they probably have low miles on them because damn did they look clean. I asked the seller for his address because I was still deciding to get used or new. Then he randomly sent me a message that said “this was for a 2019 suburban”. I thought to myself could these be new but didn’t want to ask to many questions. Looking at the picture I could tell they never been inflated. When I got there the seller showed me them and they was new. I looked up the part number and found out that the part number is correct for a 2018 Escalade. I gave the guy $20 for lunch because he was working at Midas but was selling the shocks on the side. He could have sold these easily for $350 a piece. My truck is driving nice now. I got to also be on top of my mechanic and help him which gave me a piece of mind.

Programmed it with the superchips f5, turned off the limiter and afm used there trans tune. This has the 5.3 so it should do around 136-137 now took it up to 115 to verify but not enough runway to get anymore out of it, the f5 allows tpms adjustment by the way. Also allows you to adjust the throttle response like a pedal commanderView attachment 406969
I went ahead and put the TOW tune in it today, plus the transmission tune. Drove nicely. I might actually start using D instead of manually shifting now.

I purchased a grille from a Suburban LTZ with the intent to make it an RST grille. First pic is how it looked when I bought it. 2nd pic is with it taken apart. The "surround" area will be paint matched Champagne Silver Metallic, and the "inner" area will be gloss black. It was quite a chore to get this thing separated, but I'm anxious for the results!
