Whilst i agree all the buttons on the k2’s are cheaper feeling than the 900’s no problem on my 19….. maybe she’s spilling coffee on it…. While yelling at you to get outta the house???

no yelling and no spilt coffee, not sure what the issue is the buttons just get stuck either way in the up position or the down position.
took one apart and even tried to see what the heck was going on, tried to smooth any parts that might be catching, put it back together works a couple times and stuck again

Shipped the MPVI3 for HP Tuners back to my friend. I'm done tuning it now, I guess. Let me just say tuning Gen five is a PITA everything is based off of torque models. The simple thing of changing the to L86 TB and Intake complicated everything. It wasn't until the latest beta of HPT that the proper selections were even there! Yukon will bark tires going into second if I want to though!

Now that this is all done, it's time to go back to the old F150 and finish up the transmission build\swap. Once that is up and running reliably, I'll probably put a cam in the Yukon...maybe a 6.2l.

Installed a new winter tire setup, 33" Nokian Hakka LT3 with some replica trd wheels. I had to do the norcal mod since I'm stock height, but now I have about an inch of clearance at the closest point. Overall, I'm stoked with how it turned out

Well, after a failed tune flash (that nearly bricked my PCM), sounding slow to start (when it was colder on Monday), and the random U0100 CEL I got this morning, I think it's time for a new battery. Looks like I'll be going the Walmart route since they have the best warranty, cheapest, and local. I'll be upgrading to an H8 along the way, too!

I replaced ours a couple years ago with the Walmart's best (non AGM) and it does work just like the OE Delco did. I went to three different stores to get the newest battery, even a three month old battery seems to make a difference with the high tech charging system. Get a fresh one.

The one I ended up with has a 9/25 sticker on it. I'm going to trim the tray, paint it, then install it all tomorrow.

I can say the H8 does not fit. It's the coolant reservoir being so flose. There is nothing I could do short of drilled elognated holes in the tank, and I'd rather not do that. I trimmed the plate and that fits fine, but it's just too long.

Coolant reservoir isn't even in frame for the first couple pictures, so it was probably moved out of the way in order to get it to fit. The H7 BARELY fits, I just did mine a month ago.

On another note, I'm on board the Valvoline R&P bandwagon because I did my oil this weekend and it's running as smooth as new. I'd previously been using Mobil 1 for the last 6 years.

Oh I had everything cleared out, airbox and all:

The H8 fit in the bracket, but that was about it:

No worries though, the H7 fit fine and I was able to relocate the megafuse to a better spot, and top off the coolant:

No harm, no foul.

I did laundry yesterday. Wash a load then into the dryer. The dryer sounded rough. open it and slowly pulled the wet clothes out. My hard wallet. Crap, so i keep looking for the key fob to thethirdtwin. Dammit, I found it.

I popped the fob open like you would to change the battery. Looked okay, so I let it dry overnight under a ceiling fan. The fob worked fine this morning. Plus it's clean.

Not recommended, however the fob survived a 1 hour wash cycle, plus a few minutes in the dryer. I'm glad of that since I need to buy another fob for my daughter's Mini since that came with only one.

in the future should anything take a dip, bathtub, toilet, washing machine, puddle of water, heavy rain, etc
RICE is your friend, if possible remove the battery as fast as possible, wipe dry with a towel and then place all of whatever it is in a container fully covered with dry rice, put a lid or cover on it and leave it for 24 hours.
the success rate is very high
the rice will naturally remove any moisture as long as it is in the closed container.

Because rice will attract Asians and they're good with electronics
