What is a Italian tune-up?
Per the BING Co-Pilot:
An Italian tune-up is an unconventional method of car maintenance that involves driving at high RPMs to clean out carbon deposits from the engine.

Hmm, I thought it had something to do with pouring Red Wine in the gas tank? Looks like I learned something today!

Yes - you do several full throttle 0-60 (+) runs to get the engine heated up and knock loose all the crap. It can be bad if you have a weak link somewhere, but every time I have done it the engine runs a lot smoother...

Well I ripped apart my interior and installed my Kicker sub. Followed every single instruction exactly.
Turned on some music and the sub itself makes no sound..
I'm unsure if it's because I need to go to the dealer and have them eliminate the ANC (active noise cancelation) through a reprogram. I know the installation manual says to do that. But I figured it would still work somewhat before having that done and then just be optimized after that was disabled.

Fingers crossed that all I need is the quick trip to the dealer and to pay $50 for them to reprogram in order to get this sub to function..

the ANC shouldn't stop the sub from working, all it would do is cause some undesirable feedback, kind of like having a mic to close to a speaker and instead of a high pitch squeal you would get a rumble. double check your work.

Also blacked out my rear emblem. I need to redo it though. I messed up on the cutting of the vinyl.

Changed the transmission filter and fluid in our 2015 XL with the 6l80e. I think this is the first time the filter has been replaced at 93k miles. Fluid has been changed a couple times before this. Used my venturi brake bleed setup with some extra hose to suck out the fluid. Once I had the pan down the filter looked pretty clean. Magnet was coated with a thin film of grey. I couldn't get the pan out so I just used my brake bleed pump to pull the rest of the fluid out of the pan. Worked great. Cleaned the pan and magnet, new filter in, and @ 8qts of fluid added.

sent a upgrade HMI (one with oem nav) out to wams for full unlocking & map update
I pretty much never use built in nav but it's a reduncy for when we hit the mountains as cell service is pretty much non existent if you are not on a major highway. Even then it is spotty.

Denali grille swap:

Added a K&N air/oil separator, which is a nice piece:

I also added a Superior Solutions 6L80 Sure Cool transmission thermostat bypass kit, which has to be about the best $30-ish that can be spent on one of these trucks for those who aren't interested in pill flipping.

HMI is done that was quick enough I guess, they initially said turn around was 2 weeks but they only had it about 5 days
