Im a reserve Sheriff deputy but they wont assign me a vehicle, so I use this for transportation to any event or detail im called out to carrying all of the gear they give me plus my own basic medical equipment and like someone else said, park near the entrance. With that said, theres no lights in it.

I don't have a PPV, I bought an SSV. It's my primary vehicle. The first thing I did when I bought it was remove the spotlight. In order to pass Maryland state inspection to get it registered, the wiring had to be clipped anyway. It's still white with black wheels, but I'm doing what I can to make it NOT look like a police or government vehicle. I don't want the attention. Next add will probably be a luggage rack.

I bought my ******-V because its lowered 6 inches from the factory, has a chip in it to make it fast, and because its basically still a cop car.

"[Elwood Blues Jake Blues has a fight over the police car Elwood Blues got after he traded away the original bluesmobile for a microphone]

Elwood: You don't like it?

Jake: No I don't like it...
[Elwood Blues floors the pedal and jumps over an open drawbridge]

Jake: Car's got a lot of pickup.

Elwood: It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?

I've got the original luggage rack from my Burb if your interested. The rails can be cut to fit the Tahoe.

Yep, the cops eat a lot of tater chips and donuts, I bet ya did find a lot down the by the seat bolts.
Park Ranger in my case, but there was actually a second owner after that. They apparently turned it into a "normal" Tahoe. 20" factory wheels, center console, and carpet. All vinyl interior that looks new (which I've actually come to like a lot...tough and easy to clean). I added a DIC to it.

I have noticed others who own PPV vehicles and seem to have one goal in mind and that is to make their PPV look and function in every way as a real Police car, outfitting them with red and blue flashing lights with working spotlights and even going as far as buying the rear pillar mounts for the strobes.
discussion?

I have never heard of anyone with a PPV or SSV decommissioned Tahoe ever do this from Key West to Canada. Maybe owners of Tahoe's just have more sense.

On the other hand back in the day when the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor the old Caprice PPV were the king of police vehicles there were a lot of cases of that going on. Especially here in Miami. Most had cages still in them among other nasty things. A lot were used for unspeakable crimes here in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area.

Now it is the occasional decommissioned Charger,Explorer and Taurus doing those dumb things.

There are tons of instances. Here are a few examples. Stupid people are not limited to driving Crown Vics...

Well I got to tell you if you think by removing just the alley light will help you out not to look like a cop car, you picked the wrong color of ssv. Short of getting the doors painted to look like the rest you will always look like a cop car. I suggest trade it in on another ssv. Here is what u would need to do to look civilianized. All one color. Roof rack another set of wheels , door dings moldings is a start
