Found this vaccum? Hose hanging on the passenger side of the transmission. Any idea where its supposed to attach to? I've been having some downshift issues and maybe this is the reason. Thanks

Looks like a vent hose to me. These transmissions don't use vacuum (not directly) to determine shift characteristics.
I've done every oil change for the last 5 years and never noticed it before. Should it be attached to something?

I just found a hose like that but on the left side of the trans...clipped to the crossmember that supports rear of trans. Looks to be same size and all.....Seems like a vent would be up high, but maybe not....I also have never noticed it before.

vent hose, there are 3 of them on a 4X4 and 2 of them on 2wd
1 at the front diff
1 at the transmission
1 at the rear diff
you can zip tie it up higher if you like, it is designed to let air out and NOT let water/dirt etc in
