Upgrade stock antenna mast to improve reception and clarity?

I have the original - it appears - black antenna mast on my 2003 Tahoe LS. It’s bent slightly and some of the insulation around the mast and ground wire that runs up the mast is coming off.

There are tons of short, flexible aftermarket replacements on EBay and Amazon. My limited knowledge of capturing FM radio waves tells me a full size antenna should be better. I use a Bluetooth FM transmitter to play my iPhone on the original audio system and speakers. Any suggestions on replacement antenna?
